Thought 600: Capital

Capital is at the head of capitalism.

The essence of capitalism is
to capitalise, not to elevate.

Thought 599: A Note on Mary Poppins

The flying kite in Mary Poppins
can be read as being the soul of
Mr Banks. The kite is lost at the
beginning of the film and flown
at the end of the film, as Mr
Banks has evolved from
capitalist conventionality
to magical consciousness.

The key is that money
is moneye: the tuppence
symbolises conscience.

Thought 597: The Cult of Capitalism

What are
advertisements,
brands, celebrities,
fashions, commodities,
economists, banks,
worshippers, jobs, careers,
profits, and money,
other than so many
masses, religious
symbols, saints,
rituals, articles,
priests, churches,
markets, alms,
ministries,
prophets,
and God?

Why do I
hate
capitalism?

It fosters
decadence
by preying
on every
human
weakness
and is
superficial
and vacuous.

At any rate,
it is incompatible
with my personality.
