Thought 206: Creation as Dirt

"There is much wisdom in the fact that there is much filth in the world. –"

As Friedrich Nietzsche formulated it in Thus Spoke Zarathustra, creating something, a thought, a piece of music, a drawing, essentially adds dirt to the world.
"You creators, there is much that is unclean about you. That is because you had to be mothers.
A new child: oh how much new filth has come into the world with it! Go aside! And whoever has given birth shall wash his soul clean!"
It is only the rigorous and unforgiving test of time that will determine whether or not the dirt – or filth – reveals itself to be precious metal.
