Thought 418: The Electoral Process as Deception

Many researchers agree that the electoral process is designed to give people an illusion of choice and control over who rules over them and that the candidates who do get selected are themselves puppets to masters hidden from the public eye.

What these researchers fail to point out, however, is that the electoral process is a great way to conceal and hide the fact that power is generally acquired through conspiratorial and violent means rather than peaceful and democratic ones.

Even a superficial study of good history books should be enough in establishing this last point.
